6. What is the best age to get married?

What is the best age to get married? The answer to that will be various. In my personal opinion, I think the best age to get married will be 28-30. People who are at the age of twenty-one or older are considered as adults. Adults have the responsibilities to take care of plenty stuff, such as family, work, or searching for a partner, one that can live with and love so much.

Try to imagine what will you be possibly doing what you are 28-30 years old. You may have an image of working in a office, or having great time with your partner, or playing with your kids, or spend your spare time playing computer games like I do everyday. At the age of 28, most of the people have already finished with education and started working. It is also a very good time to meet people that are not around you before when you were still in school. That might be when you meet you partner. After dating for couple years of working, people will or should have enough money to have their own family. It's the perfect time to get married. Although people said it is always not too late to love. Yeah, I agree, but when those people get old, and look and compare with the young couples, then they will know when is too old to love.

Alright, after got married, perhaps people want to have kids or some by accidents, who knows. According to what I heard, women who gives birth to baby after 40 years old are consider as dangerous, especially for those have heal problems. So, the age of 28-30 will a perfect age to get married because first people have the money to support the family(if they have a job), second the wives are young and mostly healthy to give birth to babies, and if they plan to have more kids, they still have 10 years to go. Hmm...10 years, if the couple have one baby person year, and after 10 years, they can have a soccer team. haha, I am just kidding.

4. Is it better to be a full-time student or to work part-time and go to school part-time?

Yes, it is better to be a full-time student rather than to work part-time and go to school part-time. We all know that our mind can only handle one thing at a time for most of cases. School and work are completely two different subject. Well, I know that a lot of people are doing both at the same time. Working in the morning then school in the afternoon. Or go to school on one day then go to work on the other day. However, have those people ever ask themselves, if both things are equal? I mean are they both doing well? Or one is better than the other? Or both are not doing so well.

Facts showed that a lot of students committed suicided because of overloaded school works or pressures from the courses, which means that being a students often have more pressures than what people usually thought. Sometimes it happened to be more pressures than an individual can take. On the other hand, working is the samething. People often receive pressure, angry, tiredness, and many other negative emotions and feelings. Of course, not all the people are receiving the same thing. However, if a person who isactually a part-time student and go to work as a part-time receive pressures from both side, do you really think that he/she can do well in both? I really wonder if that person can handle both and live happy and safe.

Further more, full times students have more free time than those who work and go to school as part-time. So, full time students can have more time on studying and homework, which gave the student better opportunities to remember the materials better, while the part-time students are rushing to finish reading the book and the homework like a bird during the nesting season. Compare those two cases togather, and I think the answer to the question is very obvious and easy to tell.
3. Will or should computers replace teachers? Explain.

My answer to the question above is no. Computers, are one of the innumerable machines that human beings had invented. How could teachers be possibly replace by computers, since "teachers" are actually human beings that can think flexibly, while the computers can only poccess what "we", the human command them. There are two things that I can prove computer will or should never replace teachers.

First, the people who we call teachers are so much better than computer because teachers can talk to students with emotions on their face, with suggestions, problems about homeworks or materials that students don't understand, and talk about things that are not related to school subjects. Well, I know that the computers can have pictures that shows emotions, suggestions to be provide when we type in our requests. However, the computers can't talk about non-school subjects unless someone install such a program. Sometimes, ESL students might not know english vocabularies to ask a specific questions. In this case, teachers can guess what the students wanted to know and provide the corresponding answers. Computers can't guess and give out correct answers unless people have put in the correct words.

Second, in most of the cases, teachers are always happen to be some one who are older than students. They are meant to receive respects from the students no matter what. This is also a very good point to bring out because when kids in young age, they have a lot of stuffs to learn, such as manner, living habbits, how to talk, how to play games, and etc. Teachers can teach all these things that a kid need to know with their personal experiences. Teachers know what is more accurate to make kids willing to learn and listen. Teachers allowed students to learn thing in a envirnment with love. In contrast, computers can't do it. Computers can't take the kids to the play ground and teach them how to play games, nor teach the kid table manner by showing the kids with actions. Although the computers can show the kids manner with pictures and words, it is not really accurate because the kids might not have enough education to understand all the words. Or the kids with disablilities might also have a problem with sight or hearing.

IDENTITY

Black, white, yellow, or tan; tall or short; fat or skinny; pretty or ugly are the terms that we use to describe someone's identity. It doesn't really matter if you like it for not, you still have to face that you are who you are. However, ones indentity will change depends on different situations like where you live and time. When we were little our identity might be a lot different than who we are right now. We know more about identity as we grow up. For people who lived in their own country for their whole lives, they might not notice the importance of identity because all the people that were around them were having same skin color and look almost the same. However, for people like us, who moved from one country to another, identity often plays a really big role in our lives. It not only identified us we who we are, but also showed others where we were originally from; Asia, Europe, or Africa. So it really important for us to make our identities clear. In the book "Funny in Farsi", the author Firoozeh Dumas doesn't like people to ask where she was from, just like as if her face has mark that says "I was from other country." and she wish that she could come back as a Swedish, people that have lighter skin so she could just simply pretend she's french. In my opinion, I am so proud of who I am today, and so should everybody. To be so proud of yourselves because we are being here not only to identified as one self, but we are representing the whole country that we came from. If you don't like your own country, who will? It is just like a phrase that was saying"If you don't take care of yourself, no one will." We have to show that we LOVE our countries in order to persuade other to love our countries too.

~*Power of Family Love*~

The words "Power of Family Love" , whenever people hear these words, people usually will come up with a image in their mind that looks something like the picture I posted on the top, which means the power of family love is something that really common to be hear or experience for almost everyone in this world. To me, loves from the family is the greatest thing I ever had in my life since I was born. I received lots of things from my family and all of these things I received contains love from each of my family members. From a little tiny piece of gift to great supports from them whenever I tried to reach my goals. They were here by myside whenever I need them. They were here to share my happinese and went through every moment of hard time with me, even though both my parents didn't speak english, they still tried they best to try help me with what they can. They comfort and encourage me whenever I have to face a problem. This piece of big warm heart is priceless, it is something that you cannot find anywhere else in this world except from you family. The helps and things people received from their family might be various, but the all of those containes the same kind of love. It is the family love, the love that give you the most power and energy to reach you goal and to be become a person as who you are right now and it is excatly what you meant to them as the way they meant to you. This is priceless, cherish while you can.

Funny in Farsi

The book "Funny in Farsi" was the first memoir book I had ever read and it was in English. When I first know that the ESL 100 class have to read a memoir in English, I had a feeling that I was going to suffer from reading it, because for most of the memoirs that I saw in the book store were mostly about how a person become successful and the stories be hide the success or some tragical stories about an individual. However, my prejudges was wrong. The book "Funny in Farsi was actually quite good and humorous. I am a person who usually don't read unless I have to read for classes, but the book Funny in Farsi is a little exception this time, I read it even though the pages that were not yet to be assign. The stories in the books are really funny to read that made me want to know what is going to happen and can't stop myself from stop continue reading it. The book activities and student expert chapters only made me remember the stories better and learn new vocabularies. Well, I think I can remember the chapters pretty well with or without the activities, because the reading level of the book is not so hard and the stories were humorous. However, I like the student expert part, because from that, I can see the different point of views of the other people in the group. And sometimes it was really intersting and excited when the group put ourselves into the situations, we often laugh so hard, simply because we enjoyed the stories.

My battle ground!!!

The place in the picture I posted here, is actually the place I study, play game, online research, and fight!
What? Fight? Yes, I consider my computer desk is one of my many battle grounds. I often fight over my conscious wether I should stop playing games and start to work on my homeworks. Or, wether I should study before playing games or after? Obviously it, I always lost to the my concsious, ended up playing games first and the rest will be after.

In the picture, you can see a keyboard, a computer screen with color of blue and green. In art, we call this type of color "cool color" and I strongly agree because it looks really cool to me. Next to it, there was a table lamp and a stuffed milk cow on top of the cylinder shape speaker. If you look a little bit closer, you should have noticed that the colors of everything were based on white and black, my two favorite colors. The light of this picture is sort of dim, I did it on purpose because there were too many thing on top of the computer monitor. Things such as; huge sea shell, empty M&M containers, CD cases, EVA model, stuffed Nemo, turtles and etc, which was kind of messy so I decided not to show you guys.

Back to the computer monior, the screen was showed as shutting off, obviously because I don't want you guys to know what I was actually doing before I post personal journals. However, I believe if you read what I wrote earlier in this post, you could probably make a good guess, and 90% of the time will be correct.

For most of the people, the point of buying a clothes is to wear it, to make you feel warm, to make your appearance more out standing or more attractive. To me, the point of buying this clothes is not to wear it, is to keep it and make it become one of my collections.

As you can see, the style of this clothes is a combination of both now day fashion and old western style in 17th century. The designer of this clothes was intented to make this clothes to be like Lolita, but he/she made it more casual, hoping someone who loves Lolita will wear it in regular days. Well, I believed there were people who actually wore it when they go out, but not me.

The part that I loved the most about this clothes is the upper part of the clothes, somewhere around the neck. The front was cover with layer of white flower shape lace on top of the white fluffy cotton balls. The main color of this clothes are black and white, which made the white lace really standed out with the black background color of this Lolita like clothes. In asia, we called it "princess like" clothings. I bought it 2 years ago, and it became a piece of my collections in my closet.

Gemini

If you ask me what would be perfect thing to symbolize me, my answer would be,"there's no such thing that I could consider as perfectly symbolize me." The picture I posted above is not something that I draw or something that I own, but something that could symbolize me for a little bit. I found that from the internet long, long time ago, probably about 5 years or so if I remembered it correctly.

I knew that a Zodiac summarized a lot of things like fortune, love, personality, and etc. However, the one thing that I believed in and thought it was somewhat true was the personality part. I realized that my personality was sort of different than some other girls around me, not after reading all these zodiac thing, but before. Many of my friends told me that what made me standed out from others were not my talents, nor the way I talk, and absolutely not my apearances, but my unique personality. According to my birthday in lunar calender, my zodiac is Gemini. What is special about someone that has Gemini as his/her zodiac? Heeehee, I am not going to describe everything about geminis' personality here, go find out by yourself, it is really easy!

Well, that was all I was going to say and why a picture of Gemini could somewhat symbolized me. You will know more about why it symbolized me once you read the descriptions about Gemini and get to know me. Isn't that something fun to do so? You can learn something new and meet a new friend at the sametime. Bravo!!
